Assignment #9
1. Briefly introduce the Harvard study on happiness.
The study shows that they had find 3 things. The first is that social connections are really good for us, and that loneliness kills. Second is that is not just the number of friends you have, and it's not whether or not you're in committed relationship, but it's the quality of your close relationships. And the third is about relationships and our health is that good relationships don't just protect our bodies, they protect our brains.
2. Are you surprised by Dr. Robert’s findings?
Sure! He said the people who were the most satisfied in their relationships at age 50 were the healthiest at age 80. And the people in our 75-year study who were the healthiest in retirement were the people who had actively worked to replace workmates with new playmates.
3. According to your opinion, what makes a good life?
Good relationships keep us happier and healthier.
